Your radio - I will take seriatim.

RENOLDS NO PAPERS: There are no papers about him except our official file. All the information I can give you is contained in attached minute from Dr.Newton.

(2) XWHO MEETS LONDON: Mrs. Ross, his sister, who resides at 203,

Church Road, Higher Tranmere, Birkenhead, Cheshire, Engl nd, will meet him at the dock. She has been informed of the date of his arrival in London.

WHO PAYS HUMMUS:

I deposited £16.9.9. and 3 odd with the Purser for the purpose, and you saw the receipt. I told the Purser's Officer that the money was for the purpose of paying Captain Reynold's escort, and would be payed by you if you were satisfied with the latter's conduct. The balance of the money there are a few Dollars as well - to be handed over to Mrs. Ross on Captain Reynolds arrival in Englund. I also spoke to you in your cabin, about it, and showed you the receipt.

(4) VERY UNSTEISFACTORY ARRANGEMENTS: I don't agree with you

(a) You know all about him.

(b) The escort has been provided.

(c) You have the money to pay the escort.

(d) Capt.Reynolds ill be met in London.

You seemed perfectly satisfied when I said goodbye to you on board in your cabin.

Captain John Reynolds, shipmaster, has been a patient in

the G.C.ll. and later Q.M.H. since 25/10/34.

He was admitted with a chronic ulcer of his leg, which has now healed, but has had a stroke during his stay in hospital and his mental faculties are somewhat deteriorated.

His sister Mrs. Ross is in England and is very anxious

for his return to England.

He is not in any way a lunatic, but is somewhat senile, and will require some attention on the voyage to Englund.

I believe, some funds in the bank, but I do not know how much. 300 hard sterling and a few Dollars with Purser in s.s. "Chitral".
